I returned from Musical Echoes on Monday at 4:30 am.  Russ Wolf and I left Fort Walton Beach around 4:00 pm Sunday afternoon and drove straight home. The trip was really great!  While Monday was horrible at work, it was worth it.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend a lovely flute weekend at Butch and Laura Hall's house in Weatherford Texas.

The last few weeks have reminded me that I have truly reached the ripe old age of 41.  Between spraining 2 fingers in a jujitsu class and pulling a calf muscle transplanting trees, I must concede that getting old just sucks.

• Happy New Year!  Mine has been great so far as the travel odyssey of Christmas is concerned.  We traveled from Dallas to Houston to Wichita Falls and the surrounding areas within the allotted time period.  I love the holidays but I must admit I hate the travel
